  • Large data sets used to study the impact of anthropogenic climate change on the 2013/14 floods in the UK are provided. Data consists of perturbed initial conditions simulations using the Weather@Home regional climate modelling framework. Two different base conditions, Actual, including atmospheric conditions (anthropogenic greenhouse gases and human induced aerosols) as at present and Natural, with these forcings all removed are available. The data set is made up of 13 different ensembles (2 actual and 11 natural) with each having more than 7500 members. The data is available as NetCDF V3 files with their content representing an individual month of simulation. Data within that includes diagnostics written at daily, weekly and monthly within the period of interest (1st Dec 2013 to 15th February 2014) for both a specified European region at a 50km horizontal resolution and globally at N96 resolution. The data were generated in support of the European FP7 project - EUropean CLimate and weather Events: Interpretation and Attribution (EUCLEIA).   • The World Climate Research Program (WCRP) Coupled Model Intercomparison Project, Phase 6 (CMIP6) data from the Institut Pierre-Simon Laplace (IPSL) IPSL-CM5A2-INCA model output for the "1 percent per year increase in CO2" (1pctCO2) experiment. These are available at the following frequencies: Amon, CFday, Oday, Odec, Omon and day. The runs included the ensemble member: r1i1p1f1. CMIP6 was a global climate model intercomparison project, coordinated by PCMDI (Program For Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison) on behalf of the WCRP and provided input for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 6th Assessment Report (AR6).   • ACID-PRUF was a three year NERC directed programme that investigated the complex interaction of aerosols and clouds. The overall aims of ACID-PRUF were to reduce the uncertainty in the radiative forcing associated with the aerosol indirect effects though a targeted laboratory and modelling programme. This dataset collection contains measurements of freezing fraction of water solution droplets-solute and suspended matter during the immersion freezing of pollen extracts (birch pollen, Betula fontinalis occidentalis, Sigma-Aldrich, P6895-1G), with a new cold electrodynamic balance (CEDB).

  • Daily concatenated files of ceilometer cloud base height and aerosol profile data from La Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET)'s Vaisala CL31 deployed at Getafe, Spain. These data were produced by the EUMETNET's E-PROFILE processing hub as part of the ceilometer and lidar network operated as part of the by EUMETNET members. This network covers most of Europe with additional sites worldwide. The site has a corresponding WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS) id: 0-20000-0-08224.
